Timothy Dwight College, one of 12 residential colleges, consists of two separate structures: one, a series of interconnected Georgian buildings designed by James Gamble Rogers in 1935 as Timothy Dwight College; and the other, Rosenfeld Hall, a single Collegiate Gothic building designed by Kenneth Murchison in 1912 as the home for the St. Elmo Fraternity.  The design guidelines were to: change the exteriors of the buildings as little as possible; connect the two buildings functionally; increase the total number of student beds; provide new spaces for student activities; replace and update every element of infrastructure.

At Timothy Dwight College, we reorganized the student rooms and replaced the bathrooms. We transformed the basement with new student activity spaces.  We designed a new, three-story library and ceremonial stair, restored and expanded the dining hall and common room, and created a new servery.  We renovated the administrative offices, the Fellows' offices,  and the Master's Residence which is used for student gatherings and College functions.
